Our beliefs

Respecting the Human Person in the Age of AI

Every person carries a dignity no technology can grant or take away. Each of us bears the image of God, the imago Dei, and The Hem begins there. We honor the rights of every person set out in the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights, with particular care for the freedom of thought and conscience.

What The Hem is

There are seasons when prayer comes hard. The words thin out, the room goes quiet, and the distance between you and everyone else feels wider than it is. Scripture saw this moment coming: “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words” (Romans 8:26, BSB). The pressure can come off. We never have to carry the weight alone.

The Hem is a tool that can support your prayer life in any season. It shapes prayer from Scripture and, gives it voice; an AI-generated voice. The AI does not feel or know you from within. Comfort comes from hearing God’s Word and the Holy Spirit, meeting your willing heart wherever you are. Sometimes a little help is all it takes to find the next step.

What The Hem is not

The Hem is a light for the dim stretch of the road, never the destination. It does not replace your own prayers, your faith community, or the people in your life. We build it to point you back toward them: into Scripture, into your church, or into the company of people who know your name.

Our commitments

  • Scripture stays intact. Our AI draws only from reviewed passages and never writes or alters Scripture.
  • Your prayers stay yours. We keep prayers private and never sell them.
  • Your voice stays yours. The cloning feature can only used with consent.
  • Hard moments reach people. When someone shows signs of crisis, The Hem stops and points them to the National Crisis Line staffed by real people.

Our accountability

We welcome questions, feedback, and concerns at support@touchthehem.com.
